PROJECT ANNOTATION:
This international scientific conference builds on a series of successful events held in 2011, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2023. This year’s edition will take place on November 13–14, 2025, at Hotel Pawlik in Františkovy Lázně.
One of the main aims of the conference has been, is, and will continue to be to contribute to the development of cross-border cooperation among researchers and students, including PhD candidates, to support their publishing activities, and to reflect current practice requirements. In particular, the conference provides an opportunity for students and young researchers to gain experience and establish contacts in their field—even at the international level—which is highly desirable in a period of strong support for international research and science.
Previous editions of the conference, dedicated to business economics in a cross-border comparison, have been very positively evaluated by participants on both sides of the border. Each time, the proceedings were also scientifically recognized, with the conference proceedings indexed in the Web of Science database (the 2021 and 2023 editions are under evaluation). We would like to continue this tradition again this year. The best contributions will be recommended for publication in peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Trends in Business).
The main topics of the conference papers will include trade, tourism, intercultural aspects in human resource management, controlling, accounting, financial management, marketing, management, business economics, and other areas of business practice, including the non-profit sector and sustainable development. Particular emphasis will also be placed on the use of AI in business economics.
This year’s conference will welcome representatives of several universities and professional institutions from abroad. On the Czech side, we are also extending invitations to universities and colleges in Pardubice, Liberec, Jihlava, Prague, České Budějovice, Opava, and others.
The conference is in line with the Long-Term Plan of the University of West Bohemia and the Faculty of Economics (improving doctoral study programs, expanding cooperation with practice, supporting internationalization, and promoting R&D activities, including in an international context).
