PROJECT ANNOTATION:
The aim of the project is to analyze the possibilities of applying appropriate business models (business strategies, or the use of some support) for the sustainable business of retailers with fast-moving consumer goods in rural communities up to 500 resp. 1,000 inhabitants (alternatively up to 2,000 inhabitants) with the formulation of strategy recommendations in individual situations depending on external and internal factors influencing business in rural trade (location, efficiency, organization structure, consumer habits, mobility, competition, concentration etc.). The starting point will be an analysis of the behaviour and expectations of consumers - residents of the smallest communities when buying fast moving consumer goods, analysis of the impact of large stores of multinational chains on the shopping behaviour of rural residents, analysis of business efficiency in rural retail, mobility rates and factors affecting mobility and descent. Methods of territorial analysis and methods of analysis (models) of profitability of the operation of stone shops will be also used. It is expected to use the experience from the issue of sustainable business in rural areas from the Bavarian environment (cooperation with OTH Amberg-Weiden) and a proposal for cooperation in the form of a subsequent joint project.
